Week 5 Updates

This weekend, the crew and I are travelling to Charlotte to get some of our expert interviews done. We are having a crew meet this Thursday at 5:30pm to discuss the plans for the shoot weekend. We will have either two or three possible expert interviews this weekend, which puts us ahead of the syllabus, which is great. This will definitely benefit us in the long run as we have more time to shoot pick-up shots, etc. Being ahead also benefits us because it allows us more time to find other possible interviewees, which have the potential to lead the film in different directions. At the crew meeting, we should figure out transportation, interview times, arrival times, departure times, equipment logistics, as well as the preparation of questions for the experts. Before we leave for Charlotte, I am going to print out the necessary release forms for our interviewees to sign, as well as any other forms that I think we will need. Week 4 Updates

This week, the crew and I are trying to confirm shoot dates. It's looking like we will be shooting more expert interviews the weekend of 9/29. While doing my portion of the Google Slides Presentation, I realized that funding is something that I should be researching more as I near graduation.
Expert Bios & Questions Elizabeth Leland Elizabeth worked as a Journalist for the Charlotte Observer from the 90s till October 2016. She got her Bachelor's in Journalism from Chapel Hill, achieved a Nieman Fellowship from Harvard, and studied International Relations at The University of Kent. She is happily retired now. He relation to the case was the primary journalist covering the case.   What made you interested in Irina’s case?  What made you want to be a journalist? What was your reaction after hearing about her case? How was the community affected by Irina’s death? Do you believe that a community can come together after such a tragedy?
